Booking Terms and Conditions for Apartments, Holiday Lodges and Caravans

A contract exists between you and Sunny Lyn Holiday Park as soon as we have confirmed your holiday booking either in writing or verbally and the following Terms and Conditions apply from that time.

For Health and Safety reasons all guests MUST register at reception as soon as possible after their arrival.

The speed limit for vehicles anywhere on the site is 5mph.

All offers of accommodation are subject to availability and acceptance of the following terms and conditions. The Park owners reserve the right to refuse any booking. No accommodation can be reserved until the appropriate deposit, normally 50% of total holiday cost, has been paid. [All prices quoted include VAT] Five working days will be allowed between verbal enquiry and receipt of deposit. Deposits and payments may be made by credit/debit card over the telephone or by cheque. The balance is payable on arrival when cheques must be accompanied by a valid cheque card for the amount due. Bookings made within six weeks of commencement of holiday must be paid for in full at the time of booking. Cheques or credit card payments for amounts under £10 will be subject to a 50p surcharge.

During the peak holiday weeks, bookings for Apartments, Lodges and Static Caravans are usually taken for weekly lets only.

HOLIDAY HOMES: Holiday Homes are available from 3pm on the day of arrival and MUST be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. Failure to depart by the designated time will result in a late departure fee of £15 being levied. No parking is available for early arrival or late departure unless arranged in advance. STRICTLY BY PRIOR ARRANGEMENT and subject to availability, early entry and late departure may be arranged at an additional cost. Late arrivals, after 6pm are discouraged. Anticipated arrivals after this time must be notified in advance. Only 1 car per unit is permitted.
· If you request a specific holiday home, while every effort will be made to ensure that unit is available, we reserve the right to change the accommodation offered. Any alternate accommodation offered would be of at least the same standard as that booked.
· ONLY the number of guests specified on the booking form may occupy the Holiday Homes.
· NO other electrical equipment may be used in the Holiday Homes other than those provided.
· Fires of any sort are NOT permitted anywhere on the Park. Bar-B-Ques are welcome but must be raised off of the ground. NO BAR-B-QUE IS ALLOWED ON ANY DECKING AREA.
· Guests are asked to leave the Holiday Home clean and tidy. It is unacceptable for dirty dishes to be left for our staff to clean up. A £25 cleaning charge will be levied for any Holiday Home left dirty or in a mess.
· Any damage or breakages must be reported to a member of staff. In the case of negligence or wilful damage, payment will be demanded.
· We cater for families and couples. We MAY accept bookings from other groups but these bookings would be subject to a £50 security deposit on each unit booked.
· For Health and Safety reasons, any Day Visitors MUST call at Reception before coming to see you.

ACCESSIBILITY: We aim to provide the very best service to all of our guests. If you have any special needs please make our booking staff aware at the time of booking so that we may ensure you receive all assistance needed.

CANCELLATIONS: You may cancel your holiday at any time. A cancellation will be effective on the date it is received by us. However cancellation charges are payable as follows:

More than 100 days Deposit only
50 to 99 days 60% of total holiday cost
15 to 49 days 70% of total holiday cost
1 to 14 days 80% of total holiday cost

An independent holiday insurance is available which we strongly recommend – Rothwell & Towler apply on line at www.guestfirst.co.uk or telephone 01404 41234.

REFUNDS: It is regretted that no refunds can be given if guests depart prior to the end of the booked holiday unless they do so as the result of the breach of some obligation on our part, which would justify cancelling the holiday. If you are asked to leave the Park because of some breach of these terms and conditions, no refund will be given.

PETS: are accepted in some of the Holiday Homes. If you are booking a Holiday Home it is essential that you tell us at the time of booking that you intend to bring a pet.
· Pets are not permitted in ANY of the public buildings on the park, with the exception of registered assistance dogs.
· NO PET should be allowed to enter a holiday unit that is designated ‘No Pets’. This ensures that anyone with an allergy to pet hair can book a pet free unit confident that pets have never been allowed in that unit.
· NO PET is allowed into the bedrooms [with the exception of registered assistance dogs] or onto the beds or bedding in any of the Holiday Homes. Pets are only permitted onto the seating in the holiday units if they are on a pet blanket. While we appreciate pets moult, excess hair should be vacuumed up before your departure. [An extra cleaning charge of £25 will be levied if you do not]
· Dogs MUST be kept on a SHORT lead and under control at all times while on the Park and must not be permitted to cause a nuisance to other guests.
· Owners will be liable for the cost of any damage caused by their pet.
· Dogs are NEVER to be left unattended in any Holiday Home or vehicle.
Owners must ensure that their dogs are exercised responsibly and MUST not be allowed to excrete or urinate anywhere on the Park. Should your dog have an “accident” please clean up after it.
We reserve the right to require an owner to remove their dog, or any other pet from the site if it is causing a nuisance, damage or is a danger to other guests.

CHILDREN: Parents are responsible for supervising their children properly, particularly near the river, so that they are not a nuisance or a danger to themselves or others. NO bikes, skateboards or scooters may be used on the slopes of the Park or on the camping field. NO ball games may be played where they may cause a nuisance to other guests or are likely to cause damage to any property.

WHILE ON THE PARK YOU MAY NOT:
· Commit any criminal offence or undertake any criminal activity.
· Commit any acts of vandalism.
· Keep or carry any firearm or any other weapon at or while on the Park.
· Use any unlawful drugs.
· Bring any lorries or commercial vehicles.
· Carry on any trade or business.
· Work on your vehicle, if there is any chance that motor oil or lubricants will leak out onto the ground. [A list of local garages is available from reception]
· Cause damage to trees, plants or shrubs or pick any flowers in the beds, tubs, or on the banks.
· Erect any washing lines.

COMPLAINTS: If you wish to complain about anything during your holiday please raise it with a member of staff immediately. If you wish to pursue the complaint please write to us within 28 days of your departure. However we do suggest that you try and complete a report while you are on holiday.

DATA PROTECTION: The information supplied by you will be stored on computer for our own administrative purposes only. Under no circumstances will the information be released to a third party. If you would prefer your details not be stored on our database, please inform us and we will remove your details.

We would ask that you keep noise to a minimum at all times while on the Park. The Park does however operate a quiet policy between 10.30pm and 7.30am.

We reserve the right to demand the immediate withdrawal of any persons who contravene these Terms and Conditions and behave in a manner likely to cause distress to other guests or to the detriment of the Parks’ reputation. In these circumstances the holiday ceases, no refund will be given and we will not be liable for any extra costs incurred by you.

We are not responsible for any loss or damage to your property by theft or otherwise or for personal injury. This does not however affect your rights if loss or damage or personal injury occurred through fault on our part.

 

Booking Terms and Conditions for Tents, Tourers and Motor Homes

No pitch can be reserved until the appropriate deposit, normally 50% of total holiday cost, has been paid. CAMPING/TOURERS/MOTOR HOMES: Pitches are available from 12noon on the day of arrival and MUST be vacated by 11am on the day of departure. No parking is available for early arrival or late departure. Only 1 car per pitch is permitted. The size of your tent/motor home/ tourer and any awnings, gazebos or pup tents, must be stipulated at the time of booking to ensure a large enough pitch is allocated. Should you subsequently alter your requirements, we cannot guarantee to provide an appropriately sized pitch. In this instance it will be deemed that you have cancelled your holiday and the cancellation charges will come into effect.
· NO cars are allowed on the camping field. Please park where requested.
· Designated pitches MUST be adhered to.
· Late arrivals and pitching after 6pm is discouraged and only permitted by prior arrangement. Where no prior arrangement has been made we reserve the right to re-let any pitch not taken by 6pm. The pitch will then not be available until noon the next day.
· We reserve the right to move any tent left unattended after 11am on the day of departure and you will be charged another night’s camping fees.
· Camping permits are issued on payment and must be clearly displayed at all times, failure to do so will result in further payment being requested. The loss of a camping permit should be reported immediately. [Replacement permits cost 25p]
· To extend your stay it is essential you arrange this before 11am. That pitch may have been pre-booked.
· Fires of any sort are NOT permitted anywhere on the Park. Bar-B-Ques are permitted as long as they are raised at least 9 inches up off the grass.
· For Health and Safety reasons, any Day Visitors MUST call at Reception before coming to see you.
